Ukrainian Team
Follow-up Activity: Training for students of the Shark Business School
Date and place: 09/20/2024, National University of Water Management and Environmental Engineering, Rivne City, Ukraine
Trainer: Iryna Roshchyk
Participant speakers: Yuliia Sрinova, Zoya Zinoveva
Participants of the Training: students
After participating in the training, we thought about how to tell about our participation in the SCENE TO SCHEME training.
There were many options, from an Instagram stream to online training, but Iryna suggested an active lecture for her students.
The first part of the training was devoted to the Erasmus+ programme and our experience of participating in this programme. We talked about the educational opportunities provided by Erasmus+, including youth exchanges, training and internships. Particular attention was paid to how these opportunities contribute to the personal and professional development of young people, as well as the development of intercultural relations and communities. Participants shared their own experiences of participating in various Erasmus+ projects and discussed the prospects for participation in this programme.
The second part of the training aimed at improving the students' knowledge of entrepreneurship and social entrepreneurship and developing their business and strategic decision-making skills. It also aimed at helping them understand the basics of business planning, market analysis, and teamwork.
Students had the opportunity to work in groups, create their business ideas and defend them in front of 'investors' (trainers). Each group presented a unique concept and received valuable advice on how to improve their projects. Participants showed high interest and creativity, which contributed to active interaction and exchange of ideas.
The training allowed students to gain useful knowledge about entrepreneurship, learn to think strategically and work in a team. It is recommended that similar events be held regularly to raise the level of business competencies among young people and to raise awareness of the benefits of non-formal education and the Erasmus Plus programme.

Participants' Impressions from the Project:
Yuliia Shpinova: I have recently finished participating in an extremely interesting and intense Erasmus+ training 'SCENE TO SCHEME in Poland (Kłodzko County)'. Together with youth workers from Poland, Cyprus, Spain, Georgia, Ukraine, Moldova, Armenia and Romania, we explored social entrepreneurship through improvisational education and theater techniques. Mountains, nature, wonderful people and learning) a good combination)
The topic of psychology and business became important topics of the training. This is an interesting combination for a social enterprise, because it combines business and empathy, which in today's world seems like a difficult task.
This experience gave me not only new skills and tools, but also the opportunity to share my experience, work in an intercultural team and get inspired by ideas for the development of an inclusive society. I am grateful to all participants for the active exchange of ideas and to the organizers for this unforgettable opportunity!
This training helped me to find new friends, learn new cultures and understand what social projects I am interested in (business projects). I have been planning to organize my own social business in Ukraine for a long time, so after participating in the training I already know what this business will be about and I am already writing my business plan according to the advice and structure that the wonderful trainers told us)
My dream idea is a wonderful themed coffee shop, part of the profits from which will go to rebuild educational institutions in Ukraine and support educational initiatives) Education is our everything).
Iryna: It was my first Erasmus+ and it was unforgettable! It was a great opportunity to learn about foreign entrepreneurial experience from 34 participants from 8 countries. I'm full of inspiration to share ideas of social entrepreneurship in my country. The training was conducted by skilled masterful facilitators. They filled the training program with exciting workshops and training sessions. Demonstrated methods and techniques will definitely find a place in my professional activity as а business teacher at the university. Team building activities were something that inspired teamwork. This is what I am going to organize for Ukrainian students as well. Many positive emotions and new friends are a great chance to learn about the diversity of the world, improve English and a powerful incentive to develop myself.
Thanks to all the participants for the days of successful teamwork full of knowledge, training, and team-building activities. I'm very grateful to Yulia Shpineva, Зоя Зиновьева, Anastasiia Tretyak - the girls from my Ukrainian team - for their support. Development and Initiative, Thank you for the opportunity to join the project!Acpelia, I'm much obliged to you for initiating the project and the unsurpassed meaningful content! Stowarzyszenie Open Soul I'm deeply thankful for the wonderful organization of household and free time!
Anastasiia Tretiak: I recently took part in the Erasmus+ project "Scene to Scheme" in August 2024 in Kłodzko County, Poland. This was my first experience with the Erasmus program, and it was an amazing opportunity to connect with youth workers from countries like Poland, Ukraine, Cyprus, Spain, and Armenia. The training focused on using improvisational theatre techniques to explore social entrepreneurship, which provided a creative way to tackle social issues.
The picturesque setting, surrounded by mountains and nature, made the learning environment inspiring. Throughout the training, we discussed the important relationship between business and empathy, a key aspect of social entrepreneurship. We learned that social enterprises need to balance making a profit while also contributing positively to society—a vital lesson in today's world.
One of the most beneficial parts of the training was the mix of theory and hands-on activities. We engaged in improvisational theater exercises that helped us think about complex social issues in new ways. Activities like live sculpture and scene-building allowed us to visualize problems within our communities and brainstorm creative solutions. This practical approach gave me tools I can use in my own work to engage young people in critical thinking and collaboration.
The diversity of participants was another highlight. Collaborating with youth workers from different backgrounds created a rich environment for sharing ideas. We learned from each other's experiences in running social enterprises and community projects. This exchange of knowledge helped me understand how social entrepreneurship can take various forms depending on cultural context.
In summary, my experience in the "Scene to Scheme" project was transformative and has significantly influenced my personal and professional growth. The combination of innovative teaching methods, cultural exchange, and a focus on social impact provided me with valuable insights and practical skills that I will carry forward. I am truly grateful for the opportunity to have been part of this program, and I look forward to applying what I have learned in future projects, both in my work with youth and in my entrepreneurial journey. This first experience with Erasmus has opened my eyes to the possibilities of international collaboration and the potential for positive change through social entrepreneurship.
Zoia Zinovieva: The "Scene to Scheme" PDA in August 2024 is my first Erasmus+ project.
I was interested in the topic of the project and the formats of the project: How is everything going? How is everything organized? What methods are used?
At the level of my participation, performance of tasks, initiatives and skills - I got a very interesting experience. I especially liked the part of the improvisational theatre, where there was an opportunity to work out complex issues through live sculpture, scenes, and joint actions. So I see Image Theater and improvisation as very interesting instruments of individual and team self-development.
Also, it was a great part of intercultural communication. Intercultural Night – very emotional acquaintance with the other countries "from the first person". During the week we were free to ask everything, we were interested in other cultures and countries. This gives an opportunity to see our differences, and at the same time, to understand that most of the common human concepts are common to us.
It was very important for me that everybody speaks English, and I also really liked learning words and expressions from different languages. I hope that after the project I will continue to communicate with several participants.
Another important part: this is the methodical construction of the course and exercises, methods, tools that were used in the program. I conduct trainings on communication, team building and other topics for different ages. Therefore, the use of digital technologies, active games, and cross-tasks gave me interesting ideas about working with young people.
Thank you very much for the opportunity!
I'm sharing info about this project and about the different areas of work of Erasmus+ not only within the framework of this follow-up, but also to all my colleagues involved in working with students and young people, because such experience can have a great impact on further life and the choice of the field of activity.
